How to Order Fence Materials

Do It Yourself

After you have measured your property lines, draw a rough layout on a blank sheet of paper (doesn’t need to be to scale). Write down the sizes (in feet) of each section. Take into consideration any slopes or angles. You will have an opportunity to mention any special requests during the purchase process. Like in the example (fig. 1) break down your fencing project into its constituent parts. i.e. line posts, end posts, panels etc. All panels (unless special requested) will be 6ft wide. Simply divide your measured section i.e. 46ft by 6ft (46/6 = 7.6) then round up. The amount of panels needed for this section would be 8. You will have about 2ft left over from the cut which you may be able to use elsewhere on the project.

Let Us Do It For You

Sketch a rough layout of your property, and write in the measurements of each fence section needed (in feet), noting any slopes or angels. This does not need to be drawn to scale. Email it to your Mossy Oak Fence representative, or scan and fax it to us at: 1-888-445-6998. Let us know the height, style, and color you want, and we’ll take care of the rest. Please also remember to tell us about any special request (slopes, angled panels, etc). If you are still unsure about what to do, contact us at: 1-888-456-6779. One of our fencing experts would be delighted to help! The example project (fig. 2) would require 18 standard panels, three rackable panels (for the 14ft slope), two 4ft gates, two end posts (or brackets), four gate posts, four corner posts, and 15 line posts.
